MajorProjects - Some major projects I have involved

As a full-stack developer in the library field, it is essential to engage in various levels of application development.

  • CEAL Statistics Database https://ceal-db.vercel.app/The CEAL Statistics Database is a comprehensive repository of data on East Asian libraries and museum collections in North America. I have worked on building a new statistics system to improve its functionality and user experience.
  • Smart Chatbot - An Online AI Reference Services Chatbot Internal test link (MU VPN required) I led a team in developing The Smart Chatbot, a sophisticated web-based application powered by ChatGPT's GPT-4 Large Language Model (LLM). It was designed to answer text-input questions and automate routine tasks in academic libraries.
  • Boldly Creative -- Lived Experience at Miami https://livedmu.lib.miamioh.edu/The Lived Experience project at Miami University uses storytelling, interviews, and archival research to explore the racial dynamics at MU from the 1970s to the 2000s. I played a pivotal role in enhancing the website to make it more engaging and user-friendly.
  • Crowd Index https://www.lib.miamioh.edu/I led the development of the Crowd Index Project, which leverages big data and IoT technologies to display real-time crowd levels and improve library management by analyzing and visualizing patrons' Wi-Fi connection data.
  • The MU Library Website ReMaster https://www.lib.miamioh.edu/As a key contributor to the MU Library Main Website, I designed and developed a modern, user-centric digital platform for MU's library.
  • CALA New Website https://cala-web.org/I maintained and updated CALA’s official website from Drupal 7 to Jekyll, created, edited, and deleted web content, and acted as the primary contact for website backup and restoration as Chair of the Web Team.
